Without the role of women, life would be microscopic...
They say behind every good man is a woman for support...
Percieved as the foundation, the anchor at a port...
Countless talents in which they share and posses...
The source that men seek in times of bliss and distress...
As men left their jobs to serve their country in war overseas...
Women controlled the fort to uphold future economies...
With all the hard work they seem to inherit...
Few are greatly honored to the full extent they merit...
Women are inimitable, a medley of devine attributes...
Complex and yet graceful, there are no substitutes...
Should be admired for their beauty as well as their abilities...
And requires love and care to prevent emotional instabilities...
The powerful gift to heal, with the nimble touch of a hand...
The greatest gift to man, even if some don't understand...
Women vary in physique, some are tall and discrete...
And some are like my poem, short and sweet.

My Ingredients

I believe that anything thought can be illustrated.  Art is a vessel for my thoughts to filter through imagery.  Once an idea is written down or illustrated on a canvas, new ideas have the opportunity to then bounce around and begin to develop.

I get my inspiration from a range of objects that I find around me. No matter the artist, the manifestation of their artistic talent or the reason for its production, what I process from their creativity is the energy the artist puts in which then makes it possible for me to flourish as an artist.  Along with the variety of inspirations I encounter my end result comes from time taken to understand assignments or tasks given, do the research required and sketch all that comes to mind.  The inspiring artists’ works serve as research to know what already exists, what I like about the piece, and what I would do to improve the work.  I formulate a concept of my own, and from there my creativity takes over and new ideas begin to flow.  My originality derives from meditation. I am a deep thinker, which is why I enjoy art, along with the fact that I like and understand the right of being my own artist.

In work that I do I challenge the depths of my latent thoughts and explore what talents I have for improvement.  Consistent illustrations tell a lot about an individual especially when time is taken to be analytic of your own work.  A portfolio to me is like a journal or diary for some.  Works done with restrictions or guidelines are to enhance the ability of how well and effectively my materials match the ideas the professor, client or administrators may request in a timely fashion.

I consider myself an elusive artist. One that is hard to figure yet through my work you can find your own meanings to the skills I portray. Observing the fruits of my labor, expressed through art from the process of relaxing and listening to my inner me, builds a sense of progression. I become ecstatic with pride, to see my works at its completion, all while understanding that with time I will become better.
